Local and Statewide

    The Idaho Women's Network is a statewide organization that unites the voices and interests of Idaho women, families and communities. Through community organizing, advocacy and education, IWN strives to strengthen democracy and promote human rights.

    The Women Of Color Alliance is a statewide organization that honors cultural diversity through mutual support, leadership development and empowerment. It is our mission to work toward a fair social, political, and economic system to improve the quality of life for all Women of Color in Idaho.

National

    The American Association of University Women is a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls. Our commitment to these issues is reflected in our public policy efforts, programs, and diversity initiatives.

    Feminist Campus is a project of the Feminist Majority Foundation that works to inform young feminists about the very real threats to abortion access, women's rights, affirmative action, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights posed by right wing extremists. FMF works with students on college campuses to affect change at the grassroots, national, and global levels. The Campus Program is built upon FMF's philosophy that the most effective activism is informed activism, or study to action. The program provides progressive students with opportunities to learn about timely feminist issues, develop their leadership and organizing skills, and connect with the larger pro-choice and feminist movements.

    The Feminist Majority Foundation was founded in 1987, and is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. In all spheres, FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. FMF organization believes that feminists - both women and men, girls and boys - are the majority, but this majority must be empowered. FMF also publishes Ms. magazine.

    The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

    The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States. Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women. NOW works to eliminate discrimination and harassment in the workplace, schools, the justice system, and all other sectors of society; secure reproductive rights for all women; end all forms of violence against women; eradicate racism, sexism and homophobia; and promote equality and justice in our society.

    Older Women's League is the only national grassroots membership organization that focuses exclusively on issues unique to women as they age. OWL is a non-profit, non-partisan organization that accomplishes its work through research, education, and advocacy activities conducted through a nationwide chapter network. Through its efforts to improve the status and quality of life for midlife and older women, OWL provides a strong and effective voice for the more than 60 million women age 40 and over in America.
