Boise State University Sexual Assault Crisis Response
Caring & Confidential Support Services
Response Team members offer services for female and male survivors
of sexual assault, sexual abuse, stalking, relationship violence,
and unwanted sexual contact. Services are also provided for those
interested in providing support to survivors. The Response Team
will provide the following services:
- confidential telephone or in-person support, assistance, crisis intervention, and information regarding resources on and off campus;
- confidential on-going counseling for those who choose, including group and individual counseling (licensed psychologists and counselors with experience in trauma resolution and healing for survivors);
- advocacy for survivors who choose to involve the hospital, University Security, Boise City Police, student conduct, the criminal justice system, or other support services;
- consultation with faculty, staff, friends, and family seeking information about how to support a survivor of a sexual assault;
- educational presentations and trainings to promote a climate of nonviolence and safety, development of healthy relationships, social and gender awareness, and support skills.
